My friends have been texting me reports from Arabian Sport Horse Nationals in Lexington, KY this past week. I've also been spying the online results postings on AHA.com. Dressage Mom was there and she's posting video.
It's been a load of fun to follow the event via new technology. The texting--not something I usually get into, although I know I should be tweeting--has been hilarious. Now I understand why people follow this stuff on their phone.
Check it out below.
Wednesday 9/23, 8:51 a.m.: Rashad did awesome!
Wednesday 9/23, 9:56 a.m.: The judges only gave Rashad a 63 on T4 (Note: this refers to Dressage Training Level Test 4). 17 scores have been posted so far out of 53 and currently in sixth place.
Wednesday 9/23, 5:02 p.m.: Rashad finished 15th out of 53 horses! :)
Thursday 9/24, 12:58 p.m.: Well, Rashad and I didn't come in last place but we came in second to last with an in hand score of 58. On a good note, our score at Nationals is better...
Thursday 9/24, 12:59 p.m.: than our score from the Spring Show in Denver!
Friday 9/25 10:22 a.m.: Rashad was a brat! no ribbons unless other riders screw up worse. we'll be duking it out for last.
Sunday 9/27 7:52 a.m.: Rashad did his last class late last night he was a good boy and redeemed himself. not in the ribbons but we were happy with his performance. on our way home.
P.S. If you click over to Dressage Mom please say a kind word--she's also had ups and downs at this event.
