When Keara and I went to Larimer County Fair, we got to see the advanced kids doing a musical freestyle competition. There were all kinds of costumes, types of riding (English, Western) and music. It was a blast to watch all the kids.
I will never forget the winner though, because she had such a bond with her horse. It was obvious that she had worked long and hard to achieve this level of performance. By chance I just came across a video of her routine.
There are pictures at the beginning. At about 5:39 you can watch her practice the routine at home, then the competition we attended, and the awards ceremony at the end. During the routine she goes bareback and bridleless. I just think it's nice to see the dedication, plus the love of a girl and her horse.
It's a little cut off in my allotted blog space below, but you can still see nearly everything. Otherwise check it out at http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=762d6ddaeb84f260acb49a&skin_id=601&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url
